HED MAYNER

Hed Mayner is an Israeli designer based in Paris. Raised in a small village in northern Israel near the Lebanese border, he began sewing at age 16 and studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts (Israel's national art school) in the West Bank before moving to Paris to enroll at the renowned Institut français de la mode. Hed Mayner's clothing is inspired by life in Tel Aviv and the people he surrounds himself with. His signature oversized silhouettes are influenced by traditional Jewish tailoring, and by incorporating a luxurious yet modern touch, they create a unique and exquisite balance. He focuses not simply on the appearance of the garment, but on the movement and silhouette that emerge when worn, proposing it as a form of body language—an expression of the individual.
