In 2017, a collective of Japanese creators, including designer Ryohei Kawanishi, launched the fashion brand "LES SIX."
In addition to designer Ryohei Kawanishi, who has worked in London and New York for many years, the collective is comprised of creators with diverse backgrounds, including tailors, engravers, jewelers, artisans, leather craftsmen, graphic designers, and creative directors.
Drawing inspiration from the creative legacy of the "burnt-out generation" and the "Zenkyoto generation" of the wartime and post-war periods, the brand produces creations that prioritize materials and tailoring, something only a collective of creators can achieve. The brand name is derived from "Les Six," a group of composers who were active in France in the early 20th century.
